Bought it yesterday and it took about an hour to get it up and running wireless. I am not all that computer jargon savvy and some of the wireless stuff threw me for a few minutes. I have made all the entries in all the of menus and everything seems to be working just fine. BROTHER reliability is what drew me to this printer as I have a need for a wireless printer. I replaced my MFC 5860 with this updated model.
It prints very fast and the “fast” feature on printing jobs so far looks just fine for most of my printing. Scan was easy and user friendly. I got this printer at Staples for $160 out the door as it was on sale for $100 off and they gave me another $50 off via a trade-in of an old HP printer that died a premature death. Poor reliability of HP is what sent me to try BROTHER printers. Their reliablity at least on the MFC 5860 was superb with no problems and thousands of pages printed.

HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One (CN557A#B1H)

The print quality is great, scans are easy and look very sharp, and the stand-alone copy feature has already been a winner for me. I have always used a separate scanner, captured the image, messed with it, and then had to print to my printer in order to make a “copy”. Now I can make a copy without even visiting my computer!
I haven’t used the fax feature, but it is ready to go and looks very easy to use.
In summary, despite a few setup problems (and who knows – there are lots of network complexities these days – firewalls, etc), once I had everything up and running, this unit has performed admirably. Recommended!

Samsung Color Multifunction Printer (CLX-3185FW)

I have had this printer for a couple weeks and finally got a chance install it today. Very easy setup although the Getting Started Guide is a joke. Took me about 30 minutes to get the printer setup and configured on my Windows 7 64bit and 32bit wired work stations. I used the out of the box CD to do the setup. Looks like there are some new ones on the Samsung site but since I have not had any issues so far I will stay with the production version. I will update in a few weeks once I get to put this through its paces. So far so good.
UPDATE: 5-29-11 I had a chance to put this All In One through its paces. I have 2 machines that I use one with Windows 7 32bit and one with Windows 7 64bit. They are both at SP1 level. I faxed from the All In One and from both PC, everything worked great. Next I tested the copy feature. Color was very good and Black and White was also very clear. Next I took it through the Scan Functions from both machines. I scanned to email using Outlook 2007 and 2010, it worked quickly without a flaw. I next scanned to image, same excellent results. Next I scanned to OCR, wow it was fast and accurate on Word 2007 and Word 2010. I am not sure what version of the software the previous reviewer was using but through my testing this software and Machine performed outstanding on both versions of Windows 7. At this point I am loving this Printer.

Brother MFC-9125cn Digital Color All-in-One with Fax and Networking

Overall, this is a solid color laser printer from Brother. Recently, I decided I needed the ability to occasionally print color from my printer. I previously had a Brother MFC-8840D which was a monochrome workhorse — but for color, I had an inkjet printer that I would keep in the closet until I needed it.. After months of non-use, color inkjet cartridges dry up, requiring an expensive trip to your local Staples for ink cartridges just to print a few color documents.

Canon imageCLASS D420 Laser Multifunction Copier (2711B062AA)

Bought this to replace small Canon office copier that we had for well over a decade and which is no longer made. Today’s dedicated copiers are much larger than we need so this was purchased for the sole purpose of being a copier. We have not even hooked it up to a computer so we have none of the difficulties of networking or any of the other functions that you read about. It copies just as advertised and although we miss being able to enlarge copies, we can live with that omission. Have had it for a little over one month, have had no problems and would highly recommend for this purpose.

Hp LaserJet Pro M1536dnf

Went on the search for an all-in-one laser printer, scanner, fax, copier. Considered HP, Samsung & Brother. I bumped into the Samsung (SCX-4826FN) at the office of a facility I was working at a couple weeks ago – they were not crazy about the reliability other than printing (auto-document feeder jams, paper jams every once and a while, software issues with scanning). Then I bumped into the Brother I was looking at (MFC-7840W) at a hotel business center – it was not printing properly. I thought that was a bad sign. So I bought the HP M1536dnf – and LOVE it. After 5 days of heavy printing, a bit of scanning, a sent fax and several copies made I can tell this thing is a work horse. The construction is solid, the software worked first time across a local area network (installed it on Mac OS 10.5.8 without a USB cable attached). Duplex printing works really well, scanning software is SIMPLE and easy to use. I’d highly recommend this unit! I’ll repost if I find any negative qualities worth noting…
