So i was in the market for an external hard drive. At first I thought of just going out and buy the cheapest one out there. I mean a hard drive is just a hard drive, right? What could go wrong? Well, luckily decided to do a little bit of research first, and to my surprise, apparently there are a lot of negative reviews and basically horror stories on some of the external hard drives that are being sold today. I find that Amazon’s reviews are the best because they tell users’ experience not just at the time of purchase (i.e. when the thing is new), but also how the drive performs many months or even years down the road.
